Overview

SOM Facilities Planning Team works closely with leadership to identify ways to strategically and effectively utilize various space resources. Whether we are planning a remodel, reconfiguration, renovations or space allocations, maintaining our buildings and keeping the School of Medicine moving forward is our priority.

As part of our Annual Safety Month, the Facilities & Planning team is pleased to share the results of the 2025 SOM Mandatory Safety Awareness Survey. Conducted in February-March, this survey helped assess safety awareness across departments and provided insight into how we can better support and inform our community. The survey allowed Department Managers and their teams to evaluate their familiarity with safety protocols, identify safety equipment locations, and access available resources. We appreciate everyone who participated and are using the results to guide future improvements in communication and preparedness.
