Staff Space Etiquette Tips

As we embark on this new chapter together and create a harmonious and productive work environment for everyone, we kindly request your cooperation in following some simple space etiquette suggestions and Ed-II Building updates! 

Space Etiquette Tips

  • 1. Get To Know The Ed-II Building

    Know where things are located, including departments, the mailroom, the cage, and more!

  • 2. Stay Home If You're Sick

    Your well-being is a top priority. 

  • 3. Limited Food At Break Rooms/Outdoor Terraces And Utilize The Zero Waste Receptacles
    • Receptacles are placed around the building (see attached flyer).
    • Maintain cleanliness and avoid all types of pests. 
    • Downsize personal trash cans to small desk-size to reduce waste. 
  • 4. Keep Scents To A Minimum

    This includes food, perfumes/colognes, air fresheners, and other scents. 

  • 5. Be Mindful Of The Following

    Noise Level:
    Use huddle spaces or headphones when participating in virtual meetings (Any type of headphones will work with your laptop device). 

    Shared Spaces:
    Communal areas like breakrooms, copier rooms, and meeting spaces. 

    • Clean up after yourself and leave these areas tidy for others to use. 
    • Clear away any personal belongings and return furniture to its original position. 

    Others Working Around You:
    Keep your area clean and organized, avoiding clutter. 

    • Avoid hanging items over or on top of workstation panels and ensure that the aisles between workstations remain clear. 
    • Offices are encouraged to dedicate artwork and/or certificates to one wall, using command strips or picture hooks to minimize wall damage.  
    • Avoid placing heavy items on top of overhead storage. 
    • Complete the form by 10/20 if you want Facilities to hang up artwork/certificates: Office Artwork & Certificates On Walls
